You know you’ve heard at least one of these clichés, “Culture eats strategy for breakfast,” or “People leave the culture, not the company,” and “Your culture is your most valuable competitive asset”. In our experience, these clichés are pretty much on point! Culture lies at the heart of company success! It inspires loyalty, sparks creativity, and promotes collaboration; keeping employees happy and engaged in your company’s success. And as a manager or business owner, you should know that happy employees equal happy customers. And just because your company has a clear strategy for competing, or how to attract and retain the best talent, your culture may be incompatible with those plans, and in most cases it’s the culture that wins and the plans (and results) that lose. Just like people, companies grow and develop. Because culture can’t be measured or tracked by analytics, it is often neglected or dismissed as “touchy feely”, leaving a stale, outdated, undesirable work environment.
